The extravagance of Imperiali's ideas is only equalled by the complexity of the technology it employs to bring prestigious objects to life. To create, enrich, innovate and amaze such is the leitmotif of the Swiss brand.
Imperiali Genève has made extravagance its signature, with innovative and highly technological creations that surprise and enthral. Luxurious and enriched with magnificent details, the Emperador showcases its mechanics - namely its incredible lock and flying tourbillon.
Imperiali Genève is much more than a brand; it is an art of living. Driven by a love of beauty and an uncompromising desire to innovate by playing with and overcoming the laws of physics, Imperiali revisits and reinterprets everyday objects, transforming them into true masterpieces.
Imperiali Genève arose from the long-standing friendship between David Pasciuto and Stéphane Nazzal. Genevois by adoption, they share a passion for fine mechanics and for seeking new challenges that they make a point of taking up. In their hands, ever-increasing obstacles give rise to unprecedented developments that are patented worldwide.
Thousands of hours of work, two international patents and more than 3,500 components – 2,675 of which were specially manufactured – were required to meet Imperiali Genève’s first challenge: the Emperador cigar chest. Masters of traditional crafts, talented micromechanics, engineers, watchmakers and designers − nearly one hundred professionals from twenty-seven trades have combined their expertise to produce a result that exceeds all expectations.
The Emperador is the most exclusive and prestigious cigar chest ever to be designed and produced. The only clue to the intricate marriage of mechanics and electronics that comprise it are its three indicators displaying in real time the relative humidity and temperature inside the chest, the power reserve and the number of cigars remaining.
Imperiali developed the world’s first relative humidity regulation system, guaranteeing a constant humidity level of 70% and a temperature of 16 to 18 degrees Celsius, regardless of external environmental conditions. These values can be personalised to suit the owner’s wishes.
By brushing a finger over the golden touch buttons forming the 9 letters of Imperiali, the previously invisible LCD screen is activated. Touch one or several of the buttons to enter the correct code sequence, chosen and kept secret by the Emperador's owner.
Whether the chest is open or closed, the Imperiali tourbillon continues to beat at the very heart of the case. Both a prestigious complication in the Swiss art of horology and a symbol of tradition and precision, the tourbillon captivates the observer with its beauty and its oscillating motion.
The Imperiali flying tourbillon timepiece is a pure work of art comprising 323 components. Entirely hand-produced by a master watchmaker in the Swiss Jura, it features exceptional finishes such as a delicate “Clous de Paris guilloché” dial.
The most complex of all the Emperador’s accessories, the cigar cutter is guided by one strong principle: precision. Two processes work alongside each other: the guillotine, with its laser positioning system, and the cigar punch, available in three sizes.
Regardless of how the user wishes to prepare his cigar, here, the exceptional is once again ever-present. The cigar is automatically detected, centred and clamped with infinite precision.
The lighting of the cigar constitutes a real ritual. It determines the quality of the smoking experience. The Imperiali lighter was designed to ensure the cigar is lit correctly and burns uniformly. It respects the finesse of the cigar, its aromas and body, and does not scorch its gold wrap.
At the tip of the gas-fuelled lighter, three nozzles and as many blue flames gently warm the cigar to ensure that it is perfectly lit. As their intensity increases, the flames draw closer to each other until they become one.
Whenever a cigar is brought near, the intelligent ashtray opens thanks to an ultra-rapid mechanism. The central crown is driven by the motor on its outer diameter, enabling all the vanes of the diaphragm to move at the same time.
Once its diaphragm is open, the ashtray reveals its full magnificence with an LED lighting system discreetly incorporated into the device.
Delicately preserved in their individual glass casing, the 24 cigars housed within the Emperador combine the purest traditional Cuban expertise with the modernity of a wrap covered in four gold leaves.
Hundreds of combinations of tobaccos were required to achieve the perfect alliance, with a richness, complexity and balance reminiscent of the best Cuban cigars. The Jamastran Valley (south Honduras) and the Jalapa Valley (north Nicaragua) are the fertile soils chosen for the Imperiali plantations.
